Shop Information
Items that are not made to order will usually ship within 7 days. I like to get your stuff to you ASAP for you to enjoy! Please be aware that I am multiply disabled and that means it may take longer for me to ship items.
Because art prints are printed to order, there may be occasions when I need to get more ink or paper to complete an order.
With original paintings, the shipping charge is for packing and shipping via UPS so your original piece can get there safely. My shop auto calculator tries to estimate properly but can’t account for all the variables. I will refund any shipping overage to you after I ship your item. Thank you for understanding. If a cheaper shipping option will arrive on the same day, I will choose that one instead to save you money. I’ll have UPS email you the tracking info when I ship it, and I’ll provide them with your phone number as well so they can call you if they need to.
When you get a notification that an order is completed, that means that I have shipped it to you or it is ready for download.
If the shop is closed for any period of time, or shipping will be delayed, I will post that information in a banner at the top of my shop. In most cases, you’ll still be able to order products and they will just ship when the shop reopens.
Pick up in Overland Park, Kansas is available on all original pieces. Use coupon code PickUp.
Pick up for other items is only available for people who know me personally.
I ship from the United States. You are responsible for covering any import or customs fees that your country charges you. I don’t get anything from those fees, and I have absolutely no control over them. It’s your country that is charging them. I label package contents correctly. I do not lie on customs forms or mark packages “gift,” because it would be a felony for me to do so, and jail isn’t fun.
I am a reduce, reuse, recycle kind of person. Your items will arrive secure and protected.
Prints will come in a plastic sleeve, in a very stiff cardboard envelope that is very hard to bend, with “Do Not Bend” on it. Don’t worry, I do all I can to make sure it arrives safely.
Paintings will be packaged and shipped by UPS, by people I know and trust who ship paintings regularly.
I don’t accept returns or exchanges on most items, but please contact me if you have any problems with your order, and I will be happy to assist you.
Digital products are not eligible for refund. If there is a problem with your file, please contact me so I can resolve it.
I do accept returns on original non-commissioned original artwork, with conditions.
It’s important to me that you’re happy with your new original. If you decide you want to return an original artwork within 5 days of receiving it, contact me, and I will give you an address you can ship it back to (at your cost). Once I receive it and verify that it is in perfect shape, I will refund the amount of the original artwork to you, minus the original shipping cost. I know that originals are an investment, and I want to make sure you are satisfied with yours!
Because I make them just for you, commissioned works cannot be returned.
If you have any issues with your order, please contact me immediately.
If you have any issues with a download (if it’s the wrong file, etc.), please contact me so I can take care of it.
If items in your order are damaged or your order is not correct, tell me about the problem within 5 days of delivery, and I will provide you with information on where to email pictures of the issue so it can be resolved.
Unfortunately, sometimes shipping companies make mistakes or don’t get things to their destination as quickly as planned. If I have tracking information for your package, I will provide it to you when I complete your order so you can see your package traveling to you.
On higher-cost orders, I purchase insurance to ensure that you get your order in good condition. If there are issues, we will have to proceed according to the terms of the insurance. Let me know first if you have a problem, and know that if their terms are that you will have to file for reimbursement as the package recipient, we will have to follow those terms. In that case, I will provide you with all the information you need to do so.
My shop allows customers the ability to leave reviews on products, if they have purchased that product.
If you would like to leave a review and you’re not able to because you didn’t purchase the item directly on my website, please let me know.
Your satisfaction matters to me. If you have a problem, I always ask that you contact me prior to leaving a review so that I can help solve it.
Because I teach a variety of workshops, workshop reviews may be for a previous workshop I taught, as opposed to the one you are signing up for now. They can give you an insight into what to expect when you take a workshop.
If you purchased an original, you can leave a review on the item page if you’re able to access it, or just send it to me.
I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review!
I’m happy to accommodate disabilities to the best of my ability. Please feel free to contact me to ask any questions.
I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason or no reason at all, at any time. This includes workshops.
If it seems like an order may be fraudulent, I reserve the right to cancel it at my discretion. If you have any concerns about your order seeming questionable when it is legitimate, feel free to contact me and let me know what’s going on.
Anyone who has placed a chargeback will not be allowed to place another order.
Harassing or abusive behavior will not be tolerated online or at workshops.
I’m LGBTQ+. People of all ethnicities, genders, orientations, and religions are welcome here!
The sale of artwork does not grant reproductive rights. You may not share or sell downloads you purchased, or make derivatives; they are for your personal use only, as described. If you want to reproduce my artwork, contact me about licensing, and let me know what you have in mind.
I do work on commission. If you’d like to order something special, please contact me and let me know what you have in mind. It helps if you can tell me what style of my work you’re interested in, and if you have an amount budgeted or a deadline for the work.
Commissions require full payment up front, and 75% of that is non-refundable. If your item is personalized in a way that would make it difficult to sell (based on my discretion), 100% of the payment is non-refundable.
Sometimes I receive requests for pieces that are not in the styles I work in. If I don’t think I’m the best match to create what you’re looking for, I will be upfront and let you know that. Please trust my determination on that. While I’d like to work with you, most of all I want to make sure you get what you’re looking for. If I know of someone who does work in that style, I will provide you with their information when I decline the commission.
When held in my studio, workshops are limited to KCL, or people I know and their friends. Class size is small. You will learn about an element or principle of art, and explore it by creating your own work of art, how you choose. I will be there to help you problem solve. You will learn how to handle the medium we work in, and how to clean up properly afterward. You’ll leave the class with the skills to make your own art at home, and the ability to contribute to a discussion on any work of art.
If a workshop is cancelled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled and you can choose to do that workshop or be refunded. If you realize you won’t be able to make it to a workshop, contact me before the workshop happens (the sooner, the better). You may give me the name and email address of the person you’d like to gift your spot to, or you can choose to apply the amount to a later workshop.
I love sharing art with you, and I want to make it a good experience for you. My studio is a relaxed environment where you can be yourself, with art and plants all over. I design my workshops to be stress-reducing. Please note that my studio is up one flight of stairs.
Workshops on site (at parks or other locations) will be open to everyone, with the same policies of workshops in my studio.
At other locations, when classes are paid for not on my website, those classes will be subject to the terms of the organization or group I am teaching the workshop with. These classes are open to anyone who wants to attend, with however many seats are available.
Attire: Some mediums are messier and more permanent than others. The proper attire for painting is whatever you don’t mind getting paint on. I often wear my pajamas or workout clothes while I make art. If you want to wear your pajamas to a workshop in my studio, go for it! No judgement here. If we’re working with glue, it’s usually easier to keep off of clothes than paint.
Nails: Acrylic paint and adhesives will stick to your painted nails, and probably will not come off. Please let me know ahead of time if you’re concerned about this, and I can get gloves to accommodate you. If you pick a limited palette of colors, you may enjoy the look the added paint brings.
People of all ethnicities, orientations, gender identities, neurotypes, and religions attend my workshops. I ask all participants to respect each other. I provide name tags with the ability to share your pronouns. My workshops are and always will be a safe space to have a date night with your partner, spend time with your friends, or come on your own to learn something new. You might even make a new friend.
